Our MDHSS Speech Therapist observes, diagnoses and treats communication disorders, including difficulties with speaking, listening, understanding language, reading, writing and stuttering.
The Speech Therapist works with people who have difficulty communicating because of developmental delays, stroke, brain injuries, learning disability, intellectual disability, cerebral palsy, dementia and hearing loss, as well as other problems that can affect speech and language.

Counselling Services for children, adolescents, adults and families. If you think you need to talk to a health professional about your mental health then do so. We are here to help.
Counselling is available weekly, Monday to Wednesday at MDHSS. Counselling services aim to strengthen the capacities of families and individuals in the community, and minimise those at risk. The service provides a mix of counselling, practical assistance, service coordination, case advocacy and social support to people living in the region.
